The technology does this by reducing optical loss and light reflection between pixels with specially designed materials. Tetrapixel

No light, no problem

Capture sharp and bright images every time. With the ISOCELL GW3, you won’t need to second guess yourself when shooting in challenging lighting situations. Simply point your camera at the scene, press the shutter button, and Samsung’s Tetrapixel technology will help you do the rest. The technology automatically rearranges the pixels in the sensor depending on the amount of light available, so you can enjoy the clarity of smaller pixels in bright conditions and capture more light with bigger pixels when it’s dark.

Smart-ISO

Smart-ISO for every environment

Perfectly balance your photos in all conditions. You don’t need to be a photography expert to find the optimal ISO setting when shooting with ISOCELL GW3. The image sensor’s Smart-ISO technology automatically does that for you based on the amount of light in the scene. In bright settings, the technology selects low ISO mode for greater clarity while preventing oversaturation. When there’s not enough light, Smart-ISO switches to high ISO mode to brighten the image and express detail in dim areas.

Super PD

Focus on the action

Similar to how the left and right eye work together, the image sensor’s Super PD feature compares phases detected at two different points to focus on the main subject. 4K Video With Gyro EIS

The image sensor supports 4K video with Gyro EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization), meaning you can record stable, high-definition videos with your smartphone even when you are travelling along a bumpy road.
